Trouble Ahead (Mark 4:35-41)

Mark’s account of Jesus calming the Sea of Galilee teaches us a great deal about facing trials in life. We all come up against periods of trouble. God will use these times to teach us and guide us. On the other hand, Satan will capitalize on them to defeat us. But God is greater than our most stubborn obstacles. We can trust him regardless of the situation.

Free Indeed (Colossians 1:13-14)

We were all born with a sin nature. Not only does this make us do wrong things, it enslaves us to sin. Jesus came to free us from that bondage. Through His death and resurrection those who trust in Him for salvation have been rescued from the power and influence of sin. God transfers us from the darkness of sin to His glorious kingdom.

The Real Enemy (Ephesians 6:10-13)

It’s easy to see those who are against God as an enemy. But we have to look past the physical and see the spiritual battle. To be sure, there are many who are against Jesus in our world today. But the real culprit is Satan and his minions.
